Magicon is a convention based in the Oslo area, launched in 2022 – created for nerds, by nerds.
If you’re into cosplay, drag, board games, roleplay, J-pop, computer games, or any other part of pop culture – Magicon is for you!
Magicon is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of fandom, age, interests, or experience. It’s where you’ll meet new and old friends, discover new things, and have an unforgettable time.
Our con features a diverse schedule designed to appeal to both cosplayers and fans of all types of pop and nerd culture. You can look forward to cosplay competitions for all experience levels, fun contests, innovative talks, interactive workshops, exciting stands – and so much more!
Our goal is to inspire both seasoned cosplayers and those just starting their journey.
Who are we?
We are cosplayers and nerds with years of experience visiting and volunteering at other cons. Being part of this amazing scene for so long has given us countless great memories and experiences – and that’s what inspired us to give back by creating our own convention. Our goal is to offer a fantastic atmosphere and a varied schedule, bringing something fresh and exciting to the Norwegian convention scene.
Our passions span cosplay, board games, theater, and drag – and we know we’re not the only ones in the Norwegian convention community with these combined interests. Our wish is to blend all of this into an unforgettable experience for our guests – and we invite you to join us on this adventure!

There’s a vast and impressive cosplay world beyond us. We want to look beyond Norway and Scandinavia’s borders and give Norwegian cosplayers the chance to experience cosplay from other parts of the world. Our biggest ambition for Magicon is to send Norwegian cosplay representatives to international competitions – showcasing the incredible talent Norwegian cosplayers have to offer.
